FAQ

Are there any Foreign Fees?

Allowance Manager does not charge any fees to use the card internationally.  It is best to familiarize yourself with how Visa handles exchange rates for transactions conducted in a foreign currency.  You can use the Visa calculator located here: https://usa.visa.com/support/consumer/travel-support/exchange-rate-calculator.html/

What happens when users turn 18?

When a user turns 18 they are considered the primary cardholder and account owner. As such, AllowanceCards will be suspended temporarily, until full identity verification is performed. To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.

What if my son or daughter is over 21?

AllowanceCards are not available to users over 21 years of age.

Why are there two names on my AllowanceCard?

AllowanceCards for users aged 12 and under are created with both the users name and the parent name.
