Collection and Use of Personal Information
We collect the following personal information from children: gender, first name, and a parent’s email address. This information is used to send a request to the parent to join the site. When the parent creates an account, the parent enters the following information: gender, first name, last name, and email address. To create a child account, a parent enters the following personal information related to the child: gender, first name, last name, birth date, and optionally a child’s email address. We do not condition your child’s participation on the site based on his or her providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary for that activity. This information will be used to administer your account, contact the parent when necessary, and identify you for use on the site.
During the registration process, parents have the option to provide children's email addresses. If a child's email address is provided, Allowance Manager will send the child a service-related Weekly Statement of Account. A parent can end a child's subscription by removing the child's email address in the Settings section of the Parent Account.
During the upgrade process from Allowance Manager Basic to Allowance Manager Pro, we collect no additional information related to the child, and to comply with Department of Homeland Security regulations governing accounts through which money can be moved, the parent enters the following information to verify identity against a federal database of known terrorists and money launderers (no credit checks are performed): social security number, birth date, and physical home address.
As is true of most Web sites, we automatically gather information about your computer such as your IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and operating system. We use this information to administer your account and understand how the site is being used so that we can continually fine-tune it to provide the best possible user experience.
We display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our site in addition to other endorsements. With your consent we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. We do not sell your or your child's personal information to third parties.
